This position provides leadership and direction to a supply chain team of 4 direct reports, to ensure that an excellent standard of quality is provided and maintained.  Full-time Position Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Primary Function:

 The Supply Chain Manager leads the Purchasing, Scheduling, Warehouse, and Logistics activities. This position is responsible for ensuring an internal and external customer experience meeting or exceeding Company core values, and subsequently maximizing efficiency and utilization of the production group through supply chain excellence.  This position reports to the Operations Manager.

The Key Accountabilities of the Supply Chain Manager role are as follows. 

Key Accountabilities:

 Team Leadership and Development (30%):

  • Lead and develop Supply Chain team.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supervise MRP-related activity within Supply Chain.
  • Utilize Voice of Customer feedback to enhance supplier or team performance.
  • Provide support and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure purchase order approval thresholds are adhered to.

Supplier Relationship Management (30%):

  •  Maintain and foster positive, respectful, and honest supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and communicate supply chain KPIs.
  • Use supplier scorecards to enforce performance accountability to suppliers.
  • Lead and author Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quote (RFQ) processes.
  • Maintain supplier accountability and performance to terms of supply agreements.

 Supply Chain Support (15%):

  • Support production by ensuring supply chain functions are in sync with customer promise dates.
  • Ensure timely provision of order processing and supply chain activity.
  • Utilize reporting tools to evaluate each input of the supply chain – purchasing, scheduling,      logistics, and material handling.
  • Perform supply chain functions such as issuing or approving purchase orders or vetting, hosting, or visiting suppliers.
  • Ensure invoices are approved and matched to quoted supplier pricing.

 Process Improvement and Cross-functional Collaboration (25%):

  •  Participate in cross-functional leadership meetings.
  • Maintain accountability to performance metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups to address customer requests and align customer expectations.
  • Participate in pre/post-build meetings to ensure alignment on customer specifications.
  • Own the sustainability and regular review of MRP within ERP.

 Job Requirements:

 Certifications Required:

  • NTEA 101, NTEA 201 Required (acquire on the job).
  • Various product certifications provided by manufacturers/suppliers (acquire on the job).
  • CPIM and/or CSCP certification through APICS preferred.

 Technical Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  •  Possess moderate knowledge of automotive, trucks, and truck equipment; or be willing to acquire that knowledge on the job with hands-on training.
  • Possess ERP knowledge, specifically WorkWise; or be willing to acquire that knowledge on the job.
  • Maintain product knowledge of products company distributes; or be willing to acquire that knowledge on the job.
  • Must possess excellent skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and concisely using each one.
  • Must have previous experience utilizing MRP to manage supply chain activities.
  • Must have previous experience leading and implementing vendor managed inventory programs.
  • Must have previous experience with supplier scorecards and managing accountability of key supply chain partners.
  • Must have previous experience creating, reviewing, and implementing results from RFP and RFQ processes.
  • Must have previous experience in managing distributor (B2B) agreements (Company reselling purchased products from a supplier) on the supply chain side (not the sales side).
  • Must have previous experience working with contract manufacturing.
  • Minimum five years of managing/leading people in supply chain functions is required.
